What are we looking for?
We are pioneering the future of fully automated, algorithmic inventory management for sports and concerts, leveraging data science to connect fans with their favorite events. As we expand our team, we're seeking a talented Data Scientist to drive impactful data-driven solutions that shape how tickets are priced, managed, and sold across major markets. As a Data Scientist, you’ll work closely with a collaborative team of data scientists, engineers, and industry experts to develop algorithms that respond dynamically to demand in real time. This role provides the opportunity to apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to solve real-world challenges in ticketing, bridging the gap between theory and impactful, customer-focused solutions. What would you do?
Work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into solutions
Deliver robust, scalable solutions; nearly everybody on our team ships to prod on a regular basis
Independently explore, transform, and leverage data from varied sources
Build, test, tune, and optimize statistical and/or machine learning models
Define, measure, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to quantify how well models and systems are performing
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on how to interpret and interact with products and services for which you are responsible
Develop ancillary products, such as internal tools, visualizations, and dashboards, to support the effective use of models/services
What is required to succeed?
BA, BS, or MS in an analytical discipline (e.g., Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics)
0-3 years of work experience
Excellent understanding of underlying statistical and machine learning principles and their impact on the quality and robustness of models
Experience with statistical forecasting
Experience programming with R and/or Python
Hands-on experience writing SQL queries to extract data from relational databases
Great problem solving and critical thinking skills
Flexible and willing to accept changes in priorities as necessary

Location
This position will work primarily in the Houston office. We are a flexible, results-oriented team, and we support hybrid-remote work. Still, we strongly believe that your professional growth is best supported in an office setting, and most of our team is in the office at least 4 days per week.
Successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for sponsorship.
